#1 – T.R. Williams – LHP/OF – Page County HS – The Virginia Tech commit is the #2 ranked player in Virginia and the #10 ranked LHP in the nation in his class according to Prep Baseball Report. Williams also played on the Team USA 15U National Team in 2018.

#2 – Tristan Shoemaker – IF/RHP – Fort Defiance HS – The University of Virginia commit is versatile defensively and has all 5 tools. Shoemaker has an impressive showing at last summer’s Perfect Game Underclass All-American games in San Diego.

#3 – Bryce Suters – OF/SS – Broadway HS – Suters is a James Madison University commit who is currently the 12th ranked player in the Virginia 2021 class according to Prep Baseball Report.

#4 – Noah Canterbury – OF/LHP – Buffalo Gap HS – The recent Old Dominion University commit’s stock has been soaring as of late. Canterbury has the tools to be a legitimate two-way player at the next level.

#5 – Ryan Cook – RHP/IF – Fort Defiance HS – Cook, like Suters, is committed to James Madison University. Cook already has a fastball in the high 80s and has plenty more in the tank.

Valley “Top 5” Class of 2020

#1 – Braeson Fulton – C/3B – Riverheads HS – Not only is Fulton the #1 ranked catcher in the area, he is also the #1 ranked catcher in the state according to Prep Baseball Report. Fulton will take his strong arm and powerful bat to James Madison University next year.

#2 – Grant Painter – SS/2B – Riverheads HS – Painter is exceptionally athletic as evidenced by him winning the Shenandoah District Player of the Year in basketball. Painter also had a very strong summer in the RCBL last summer with the RCBL Champion Clover Hill Bucks. Painter, like Fulton, is also headed to James Madison University next year.

#3 – Tristan Gordon – C/1B – Page County HS – The Panthers were primed for another State Championship run in 2020. Gordon was the premiere power hitter in the area last season and is headed to NAIA Milligan College in Tennessee.

#4 – Nick Griffin – RHP – Turner Ashby HS – It would have been interesting to see how Griffin has progressed in 2020 before the season got cut short. Griffin will attend Bridgewater College this Fall.

#5 – Skyler Saunders – SS/OF – Stuarts Draft HS – Saunders is a sub 7.0 60 runner and very versatile defensively. Saunders will join a host of local talent next season at Patrick Henry Community College.

Clayton Michael – IF/RHP – Fort Defiance HS – Michael is another very versatile player who continues to get better every season. Michael is headed to Ferrum College this Fall.

Tyler Dellinger – RHP – Stonewall Jackson HS – Dellinger recently committed to Shenandoah University. Dellinger will play this summer for the RCBL’s New Market Shockers.
